With ChatLicense your child works on developing the skills that are necessary for using their first phone. Through this, they learn how to use their smartphone in a safe and smart way. We provide details and explanations about the different apps to parents/guardians, so that they can decide which apps are suitable for their children. However, ChatLicense does not offer a technical blockade for apps on your child's phone. As the parent/guardian, you can set controls for your child’s phone through Apple's Family Sharing and Google's Family Link. We provide more detailed instructions about this in the step-by-step plan in the Parent Platform of ChatLicense.
We believe that allowing your children to install an app can be an important personal contact moment. Your child receives pop-ups in ChatLicense stating they’re ready for certain apps and can approach you to install them. Installing an app together is a good opportunity for you to agree on rules about using the new app with your child. ChatLicense is like a 'driver's license' for that first smartphone, but together you decide when and where you go online.
